MR N V JAYANTHI

Mr Naga Venkatesh Jayanthi is a Consultant Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeon specialising in General, Upper GI, and Bariatric Surgery.

He graduated from the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, one of India’s leading medical schools, and subsequently completed post-doctoral research at the University of Oxford. He undertook higher surgical training in Wales, followed by advanced fellowships at internationally recognised centres of excellence.

Mr Jayanthi was a Senior Laparoscopic Fellow at the ICENI Centre, Colchester, gaining expertise in advanced keyhole surgery. He then completed a fellowship in Upper GI cancer surgery at St James’s University Hospital, Leeds, before undertaking the prestigious Ethicon Bariatric Fellowship at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, focusing on weight loss surgery.

He is at the forefront of minimally invasive surgery and performed the first robotic oesophagectomy for cancer in the UK. His practice encompasses a broad range of complex operations performed using laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
